The Heaviest Tour of the Summer

“We are excited to announce The Heaviest Tour of the Summer! We are hitting the road in the US & bringing Amon Amarth along as support," as Pantera posted on their social media pages.

This tour leg billed as "The Heaviest Tour of the Summer", combines the classic line-up of Pantera bassist Rex Brown and lead vocalist Philip Anselmo, along with current members guitarist Zakk Wylde and drummer Charlie Benante. As mentioned, Swedish Viking metal band Amon Amarth will serve as their special guest, to add fuel to the fire and crank up the volume even more. Pantera's original two surviving members reunited and revived their touring stint since 2023.

“It’s empowering. It is incredibly beautiful, and you feel so much love when you’re up there. And if you take it in, it’s a great feeling, man. These days, man, that’s where me and Rex, you know, we get to dig the shows more,” Anselmo said, also going on to compare how the band have changed compared to their early days.

“When we were younger, we were at war and when we were onstage; we were just angry and at war, man. Now it’s — the songs are there. I can concentrate on singing the fricking songs, number one. Geez, that’s a relief for me, man. I don’t have to break my fricking body in part anymore.”

About Pantera

'The Heaviest Tour of the Summer!' is such a bold statement, yet it is backed by Pantera's equally weighty and mighty legacy. Pantera was formed in 1981 in Arlington, Texas, USA. They started out as a glam rock metal band. After some band member changes, Pantera also sought to reinforce their sound which came into fruition when they recruited their new lead vocalist, Phil Anselmo. In 1990, their fifth album "Cowboys from Hell", broke new grounds for the band as they unleashed and popularized the groove metal genre. This album was their fifth by count, but the band considers it their first -- their first attempt and success in achieving their core sound. Their subsequent album releases Vulgar Display of Power (1992) and Far Beyond Driven (1994), showcased Pantera's metal mastery and dominion over a soundscape of thunderous guitar riffs, pounding drums, and air-tearing vocals. Pantera has 20 million records sold to their name and has garnered four Grammy nominations. Pantera official disbanded in 2003, and 22 years later, Brown and Anselmo, the band's only surviving members, reunited and began touring again in 2023. Music trends have come and gone, but Pantera stuck to their core.

"We've survived every f***ing trend—heavy metal, "grunge metal", funk metal, rap metal—and we're still here. We put everyone on notice that we don't f*** around. Our fans know we're true right down to the f***ing core."

'The Heaviest Tour of the Summer!' ... Pantera has never fallen short of their promise. They will hit hard and heavy like never before. So all you have to do is be fast on your fingers in clicking the 'Get Tickets' button before tickets run out. Hurry, get your tickets now!
