Billy Idol is returning to the road this year for the highly anticipated It’s a Nice Day To…Tour Again!. Alongside Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, the rock icon will take over some of North America’s finest arenas and amphitheaters this spring and summer. Kickstarting at the storied Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre in Phoenix on the 30th April 2025, the hotly awaited outing will take Billy Idol and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts to world class venues, including New York City’s Madison Square Garden, LA’s Kia Forum, Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre, as well as Maryland’s Merriweather Post Pavilion.
Billy Idol announced It’s a Nice Day To…Tour Again! with a video featuring the comedy heavyweight Matt Rife. The clip follows Billy Idol through a number of different scenarios, all of which lead to encounters with Matt Rife, who continually makes reference to Billy Idol’s hits. What’s more, the video features cameos from Joan Jett, who plays Billy Idol’s therapist, as well as Billy Idol’s longtime guitar player Steve Stevens.
News of this super exciting 2025 tour comes ahead of a new record arriving this year via Dark Horse Records. The project follows an extremely busy 2024 where Billy Idol marked the monumental 40th anniversary of his sophomore album, ‘Rebel Yell.’ The star celebrated with a Deluxe Expanded Edition and arrived at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony as part of a group inducting the one and only Ozzy Osbourne.
The previous year was just as epic. In 2023, Billy Idol dropped the concert movie, Billy Idol: State Line. This project documented the first-ever concert at the Hoover Dam on the Nevada/Arizona state line. The movie is a reminder of the breathtaking live show Billy Idol will be taking on the road this year. The project captures two sets from Billy Idol: a full band gig at sunset alongside special guests, as well as an acoustic duo set on the roof of the powerhouse at the foot of the infamous dam.
