Since 2000, Disturbed has changed the way heavy metal music is formulated. The band, regarded as purveyors of the nu-metal genre, focuses on hard-hitting drum beats paired with heavy riffs. But the vocals are incredibly melodic, a stark contrast from the rapping vocalists of other bands during the era. This music style clearly resonated well with fans, as Disturbed has sold over 13 million albums worldwide. Many of their studio efforts topped the Billboard 200 chart, and their debut album, The Sickness, earned its fifth platinum certification. This 2023, the band is promoting its eighth effort, Divisive, which peaked at number 13 on the Billboard 200 and topped the Alternative and Hard Rock charts.
On this 2023 tour, Disturbed will be joined by hard rock icon Breaking Benjamin. With six highly-acclaimed studio albums, the band has enjoyed phenomenal success. They sold 19 million copies in the U.S. alone. In 2002, Breaking Benjamin broke into the main charts with their debut album Saturate. The album, which spawned singles “Polyamorous,” “Skin,” and “‘Medicate,” was later certified gold after selling over half a million copies. In 2015, the band achieved their first number 1 album when they released their fifth album, Dark Before Dawn. The record topped five Billboard charts, including the Billboard 200.
Lastly, the tour features performances from the highly acclaimed Ukrainian metal band Jinjer. The band is regarded as the underdog in the heavy metal scene, and they quickly gained recognition not just for their music but for the exemplary vocal performances of their frontwoman Tatiana Shmailyuk.
