Over a decade ago, IMAGINE DRAGONS took the world by storm, hit after hit with their debut album "Night Visions". It served some of fans' all-time favorite tracks - "It's Time", "Demons", "On Top of the World", and "Radioactive". Garnering multi-platinum and diamond certifications from the RIAA, the Grammy Award-winning band is set to launch a new era with their sixth LP, "Loom".
Scheduled for release on June 28th, the band is turning the summer heat right up, kicking off their biggest North American headlining trek yet for the LOOM WORLD TOUR. Welcoming fans to the new age, the "Radioactive" band gave us a glimpse of what to expect from the nine-track record with their new single "Eyes Closed".
The new track serves Imagine Dragon's familiar attitudes, matched with a hint of pop, rock, hiphop, and dubstep elements in the mix. The band has shared that it's a pinnacle of their "artistic journey of self-discovery", inspired from the time they took a break from touring and went on to catch up with friends and loved ones. Coming back to the studio with newfound inspirations and lessons, it became their "best body of work" yet. In an Instagram post, frontman Dan Reynolds shared that "working on this record was a rollercoaster... Some days the songs came from a place of sadness and heartache and others joy and jubilance. Loneliness. Searching. Wanting. Anger. Love."
After non-stop action on the road, the breather in between their tours for the double project "Mercury" albums and recording sessions for "Loom" allowed them to explore within and reconnect with who they are as people, and as artists. One thing about Imagine Dragons is their ability to convey stories with great impact.
On tour, you can expect the band to perform their biggest hits such as "Radioactive", "It's Time", "Demons", "Believer", "Thunder", "Whatever It Takes", and many more, alongside new anthems from "Loom". It's definitely hyping us up, but the band want to remind us that their desire for the upcoming shows is for fans to come together as a communal experience, connecting through the power of music.
"It’s just a lot of people in a room together realizing they’re not alone in their feelings," Reynolds said, via AP News. "I don’t necessarily need them to feel happy or sad or anything. I just want them to look around them and see that other people are also feeling something."
Welcome to the new age. It's time to begin as Loom conquers the stage. Book your tickets now!
